When Ironstone is paired with blue, it seems restful.
A closer look.
Potting Shed placemats
The stainless flatware is "Avalon"
The Ironstone is made by American Atelier at Home---"Ivory Baroque"
When I focused the camera, I laughed outloud when I saw Mister's head pop up. The picture is a little out of focus. :-) I got sidetracked a bit ...and took a break with Mister. He says it's a Mister-y why his mama is always taking pictures of empty dishes.
Here, the napkin is fanned...
And perched in a bowl....
Tra la la, more bunnies...
A faraway, but blurry view of the tablesetting...
Well, I'm off to Between Naps on the Porch to look at my favoritest thing in the world: dishes.
See you there!
~Beautiful Bunnies~
ReplyDeleteYour home is gorgeous.
I'm speechless.
My dream home for sure. :)
Gollum, I love your ironstone dinnerware. It is so elegant!! Paired with those bunnies it's adorable. You are teaching me so much. I can barely wait for Tuesday to see what you have up your sleeve. Mister is just so cute. I just love him.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Terrie
Ohhh Gollum...I love those potting shed napkins and placemats! I was not familiar with them. Your bunnies are sooo cute...especially the one with the giant carrot! Mister seemed to enjoy the post as well! Beautiful hint of Spring!...Debbie
ReplyDeletejust LOVE the blue wht, crisp and clean is always in for me! bunnies are adorable~ the baroque is gorgeous, so much to love in basic white! avalon is wonderful too, fun post! mister in one lucky dog.
ReplyDeleteI think I could come and live in your house & wouldn't know the difference except, yours is bigger! I'd be right at home w/ rabbits, ironstone, majolica and in dish heaven (I hope the one I go to has dishes, don't you?)! I didn't know Potting Shed made linens. Good to know! In case you're interested, there is a store in Myrtle Beach called The Wacky Rabbit. They have an online store, and as you might guess, alot of what the sell is rabbits. They have these cool white rabbit napkin rings I bought back in the fall. The napkin rings actually stand up too, which is cool.
ReplyDeleteLove the American Atelier ironstone and the bunnies. And of course, I have always admired your home...Christine
ReplyDeleteyou always to such a sweet job on your tablesettings- I love the bunny dragging that huge carrot- I hope he doesn't get a tummy ache after eating it !!

ReplyDeleteI needed to see a touch of Spring today - it is frigid here in Michigan! That setting is somehow cute and elegant at the same time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hint of spring, dear Gollum!
ReplyDeleteYour bunnies are hard at work! This would be a nice table to sit at while looking over the snowbanks at my place! It would make me grab my garden book and make plans for the not so distant future of Spring!
ReplyDeleteWell well. I have heard your blog mentioned a few times "here and there" and now I know what all the kind praise is about. I was lucky enough to find the link for tablescape Tuesday on Susan's blog and clicked quickly to link right in! From the moment I saw the first picture I was hooked! Lovely, all of it! My 10 year old daughter is absolutley in love with your adorable Yorkie! As am I.

ReplyDeleteMorning, Dear Gollum! You've done it again - perfection with whimsy! I love the bunnies and that pitcher is beautiful. I used to collect all things bunnies, but through the years they'd begun to disappear! Now the sweet surprise was little Mister popping up! Such a cutie, that little boy! I have those cobalt blue glasses and used one today! Thanks again for making me covetous (is that a word? lol) um, I mean envious!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I have always been partial to the blue and white combo ... and, dear me, another cake stand to drool over! P.S. I did receive the cake stand I purchased a few weeks ago on ebay and totally love it. I will snap a photo and maybe, just maybe, try to work myself out of the "tablescape challenged" rut I seem to live in.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where to start. Your ironstone is divine, I am coveting your bunnies & that flatware is awesome! And your dining room is just beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGollum...thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I love the blue and white...it seems like a bit of the theme for today's postings...You can't go wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteHi Gollum--So many people on RMS have said the same things about their pets--when they view photos they wonder how that animal got into the picture???? Seeing your tablescapes today reminds me of Martha Stewart yesterday--a video tour of the Wedgewood factory in England. Seeing the steps from clay to firing (four separate times) and how the designs are applied to fine china and then the hand-painting and all of the quality inspections was an education in itself. I even saw a piece that was given to me that apparently is an antique! Pam
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty and I love your bunnies...and I love Mister...
ReplyDeletexo bj
Hello Gollum, Thanks for giving us the hope of Spring! I think your dining room is so great. I've probably said that every week! :0)

ReplyDeleteOh Gollum...to heck with the table settings! I think you had best gets Lloyd's of London to insure little Mister against any ransom notes that may appear. I swear he was a movie star in a past life!! I love him! and to Gloria, you made me laugh with your admitting to stuffing large clear zipper bags full of anything and everything to stuff under the beds! You are not alone dear girl! Happy Tuesday, Jan
ReplyDeleteLove the bunnies! It felt so much like a spring day here today (70 degrees) I was tempted to put out my bunnies.
ReplyDeleteHi Gollum, Bunnies & Mister, you can't go wrong with that.....another great tablescape. I can't wait to see what you are up to next. ~ Robyn

ReplyDeleteHi Michael,
ReplyDeleteI have to smile everytime I see that adorable bunny hauling that carrot off that's as big as he is! :-) And Mister is such a sweet decoration to your table! :-) Love your ironstone...been waiting to see you use that in a tablescape. Cute napkins and I saw some wonderful napkin rings, too. Isn't it fun to shop the house and put together such a fine table as that! I've been "working" on a tablescape this week and I'm challenging myself to use ONLY things I already own. I'm almost there...still needs a little tweaking. :-) Thanks for this great tablescape on this Tablescape Tuesday! Susan
Gollum, your table is so pretty! Love the bunnies, the cobalt glasses .. Thank you for showing your beautiful drapes!!! :-)

Linda
The little bowls you ask about are part of my "garden" china that I bought back last summer at HomeGoods. Here's a link to a TT where I used them...there are 3-4 close up pics of them that I think you'll enjoy. http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/2008/10/welcome-to-ninth-tablescape-tuesday.html
ReplyDeleteThe only place I ever see it now is occasionally on eBay. Maybe they'll bring it back to HomeGoods this summer. Susan

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS
I need your stemware!
I'm a little late for Tablescape Tuesday, but I just had to drop by and visit your blog! Then...I see it...the tablescape with the rooster and bunnies. I just got that rooster last weekend (it's Butler's Pantry by Lenox, right?) So, of course, I love your tablescape. It's always a fun time looking at and reading your blog--it's just awesome!
ReplyDeleteGG, as a "recovering, INCREDIBLY N-U-T-S about rabbits to the nth degree person" (in any way, shape or form EXCEPT the REAL ONES~~~ that's a "no-go", of course, with a huntin' dawg in the house!), I enjoyed this posting IMMENSELY!!! Anytime one needs a happy thought or good pick-me-up, looking at rabbits seems to do the trick!!! Oh, they are sooooo CUTE!!! (I always just wanna rub my fingers over the bridges of their sweet lil' noses with all that soft fur on them!!!)~~~ THANKS for the beauty you shared here! Love, Linda
