Gilding the Carb

After accidentally eating 50,000 icing carbs, what's the harm in 6 more?

I'm showing half a picture because the calories and carbs have been sLaSHed.

Nothing new, but oh, it hits the spot.
  • 1/2 cup Carb Smart vanilla ice cream (4 net carbs)
  • 2 medium strawberries (1/39" diameter = .92 carbs each--I used more)
  • whipped cream (Reddi-whip Extra creamy (less than one gram, unless you are like me and Gild the Carb).

Variations:

  • chopped nuts
  • sugar-free chocolate syrup
  • sugar-free strawberry jam
  • fine dusting of espresso powder
  • blueberries, raspberries, blackberries

7.6 net carbs (ice cream plus 3.6 carbs in 1/4 c fresh blueberries)

  1. What good are diets without dessert? Thank heavens for carb smart!
A scoop of that ice cream in a diet root beer sounds pretty good right now.
Cheesecake Factory has a great low carb cheesecake too.

  5. Hi Gollum- If you get a chance, please stop by my blog. I want you to see the amazing truffles that I experienced last night. Does cutting a photo in half really reduce carbs??? I'm planning a main dish post for Friday that really may be low in carbs yet satisfying!

  6. This is not what I should be looking at at 5 am. Ice cream for breakfast? Although it does have fruit, and milk, so . . . Kathy

  10. Before I run out to buy this magical ice cream, does it taste good?

I had already discovered the extra creamy Reddi-whip and use in my morning coffee concoction.

My grandchildren, daughter and son all devoured my decorated cookies!

Have a good day, dear Gollum.

  21. Yes, you can have your berries & whipped cream and eat them too! I would go nuts without my favorite sweet treat!

I have not been able to find anything but Carb Smart chocolate ice cream, didn't even know they made vanilla. That would give my sweet tooth some variety!

    xoxo
