Tablescape Thursday: Valentine's Day

I missed last week's Tablescape Thursday, but my dish mongering
turned up four pink dishes, so here I come. Please check out all of the inspirational tablescapes at Susan's blog,
http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/.

This week, I received a humongous box from D's Daydreams. It was filled with the most gorgeous pink and green glasses I've ever seen! http://dsdaydreams.blogspot.com/

Thanks to Jersey Girl ("D"), I was able to put together a tablesape today.

The 4 pink Ironstone dishes matched perfectly with the tureen (Fitz & Floyd), my Hobby Lobby rattan chargers, and napkins...and the glassware was the crowning touch. Thank you, Jersey Girl!!!

Dr. Gollum wants me to hurry up and finish this book so I
can cook an actual meal, instead of a virtual one. :-)

Well, at least the table is ready and waiting.

The dishes are "Matceramic," and apparently they come in colors--just what I didn't need to know, and you didn't, either. :-)

I love yellow and pink, with crisp green touches.

A closer look at Jersey Girl's beautiful glasses.

The breakfast room is actually a huge bay window, and this morning the sun washed over the table. I'm ready for spring.

Well, I'm hopping over to see Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/.
See you there, Dishspotters!

  2. Hi Gollum, That Fitz and Floyd turren and base is about the greatest thing I have seen! Love it. I really like a lot of their pieces and have a few things here and there from F&F. I don't know if you have a Steinmart where you live, but they sell quite a bit of it. Your table shows how you can combine different makers of dishes and stemware and have everything look just perfect. Have a great day, Jan

  25. I just love these colors together. How much more like spring can you get? I want to paint my kitcen this spring and wasn't sure what color to go with, but now I know. The main color of my house is blue. From colonial to navy to dark. When I garden I like to put together navy and bright yellow as a group, then throw in one white plant. Isn't it funny how I love certain colors when it comes to flowers and can't even begin to decorate. Thank you, Kae
