Foodie Friday

The Bandwith Bandit is hogging the internet, so Foodie Friday is running late. But Mr. Linky is up and running, and he's ready for your wonderful food links TONIGHT.

In the future, to avoid the battle of the bandwith, I will be posting Foodie Fridays on, well, Fridays. That won't start till next week, June 5th at 9 am, next Friday morning. No theme, just food and food talk. Suggestions for themes are always welcome.

I've been visiting with my granddaughter, Annabel, this week. She says to tell you all "Hi!" Here she is looking for the mermaid in the pond.

Hi! How's it going? How is the book? Life has been too busy lately! The cupcakes look yummy! Susan

Cupcakes look wonderful. But I have a love affair with a cupcake -- perhaps because it takes me back to my childhood -- perhaps because they are a single serving.

If you have been visiting with that precious little barefoot cherub, you are excused from all else!

It's so nice to find another blogger who lives on a farm and likes many of the same things I do. I was wowed when I discovered you wrote some of my favorite books. Now I feel as though I've met you!

Cute petits fores and an even cuter Annabel! Now for the real question of the night...did the Mermaid allow herself to be seen or did she stay hidden? :-) Inquiring minds want to know!

Look at that sweet Annabel! She is precious, and I hope she saw the mermaid! Looks like a fun celebration with cupcakes and petit fours!

I hope to join you again soon. I'm supposed to travel during the day today and couldn't do Foodie Friday. I like the themeless days except for holidays and the occasional trainwreck. ;-)

Happy FF!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Annabel sure is getting big! What a cutie-pie! I bet she sure loves those pretty cupcakes. I've been working like a dog - my assistant was gone all week. I haven't cooked a thing all week. (Shame on me - I know).) I actually had to work this morning, too. I hope next week goes much smoother. ~ Robyn

Those cupcakes and petit fours look great but they can't hold a candle to sweet little Annabel. I hope she found a mermaid. Loved Justine's comment of telling her to look in the basement. Good one, Justine!!!! Have a great visit with your family.

* Lordy GG, that Miss Annabel is a cutie!!! Are you BLESSED or what?!?!?~~~~~

Suggestion for food theme, June is the beginning of summer. Summer is all about picnics and picnic food, fried chicken, salads, lemonade, things that travel well and don't include mayo cuz it might spoil. I would especially ask that you make lemons the theme for one week cuz I have a wonderful lemon bar recipe I'd like to share.

July is patriotic, maybe red, white and blue theme.

August is hot; swimming is always on my mind. I love to swimming at the beach the best so how about seafood recipes.

Pamela said...

Oh and a PS. June is cherry picking season here in NC and VA so how about a cherry themed week.

BTW LOVE your blog. I think it's better than chocolate.... well almost ;o)
