Gollum and Mama Set the Table
My mother is visiting, and we spent Mother's Day Eve working on the tablescape. The Ironstone is "Singapore Bird," a popular pattern in the late 70s.
Going with the bird theme, we set four placesettings with twig flatware, two with my grandmother's "Wild Rose." The goblets don't match--literally, the end settings have different glassware, if you'll look closely. Mother always says a table is more interesting when things DON'T match.
Mother knows best!
Mom is 81 and still sets a beautiful table. She considers it a "grace note."

Echo Point from Big Lots
We used aqua plates from Big Lots as chargers. They worked great!
A cute, intricate butter knife.
Dr. Gollum just returned from a mysterious Mother's Day gift-buying trip, so stay tuned for the outcome. The mystery gifts are sitting in the back of his truck in BIG boxes.
Happy Mother's Day,
