While Bandwith and I stood in the Publix bakery, arguing if the cake was large enough for a whole "Happy Birthday, Dr. Gollum" to be written on it, the lady at the bakery wrote Dr. Goloum.Close enough.
Bandwith cooked T-bones, grilled corn, and lobster. A good time was had by all.

Great Birthday feast.. Happy Birthday Dr G! I always use Publix bakery for cakes. They made a hamburger one for me for my husbands birthday one year. Nobody wanted to cut it.. it was so beautiful. I always stop in for Foodie Friday to see what you and everyone else has whipped up each week.. however this is my first time participating. I hope everyone enjoys my southern supper.

Happy Birthday to Dr. Gollum! I love the flowers on the chocolate cake, Yes, there was enough room! I just love round cakes for Birthdays. I even love more is the lobster! I guess we will not have it anymore as we have what I call these days our mini lobsters, (crawfish) just to get to hubby he knows I love lobster! For he says we have plenty of crawfish in the pond! ( he is raising crawfish in a pond, experiment with Mississippi State University) Sounds like you had a great time, Have a Happy 4th!

The two favorite foods at The Hut are lobster and cake, especially those from Publix. My birthday will be here in about three weeks and my cousin, whose birthday is also this month and we are the same age, decided months ago that we would get their Chocolate Ganache Supreme and eat the whole thing by ourselves — even if it takes all day!
