Foodie Friday: Homemade Grilled Pizza

Mister continues to improve and is eating chicken and rice.

The humans ate grilled pizza.

Start with a simple dough recipe...

1 packet active yeast (proof it), 2 c flour, 1 c water, 1 t salt. Mix, knead, and let rise for 15 minutes. For a thin crust, do not add yeast.

Grill 2 minutes on the bottom...

and 1 minute on top. Flip and add toppings

Grill on low until cheese melts (keep the grill's lid closed).

That's it.

If you are participating in Foodie Friday, you know the routine. Have fun!

Michael, I ditto what the others have said. Such good news about little Mister. That picture in your header just makes me giggle. I also think you are wonder woman to be able to keep your blog going while major things have been going on around you.

Oh I have just stumbled on your blog and I love it...love your writing style and your photography is insane! Love little Mister and feel like I've known him forever. Glad he is alright. I have a Gernman Shepherd who heaves and sighs as he gets older yet he insists on laying by my busy feet...wherever I go he follows....no more the 'shepherd' herding me but still ensuring that I am safe....well....more often than not I am tripping over him these days but nevertheless....anyway...I shall be back.

That's great news about Mister!

Your grilled pizza looks scrumptious. We sometimes grill pizza too, but I cheat and don't make homemade crust.

Glad to hear Mister is feeling better, his "update" post was just adorable.

The other adorable thing is your new header! And, the pizza just looks scrumptious.

Yummmy!!! I've never grilled a pizza before....I want to try it!

We feed our dogs chicken & rice w/ peas (or couscous...they like couscous even better). They don't get a total diet of it, we mix it in w/ their dry. We often use rotissirie chicken from the grocery as a huge timesaver & make up a bunch & freeze a couple of containers. I'm so glad Mister is better.

I have been wanting to make pizza on the grill. In fact I looked at pizza dough in the grocery store yesterday for it but wasn't sure how long to cook it. Thanks for these directions. I will now make it! Love your cute Halloween pooch!

ficus are not an outdoor plant and will surely die soon if not brought inside. they also do not like to be moved, so once it is happy in a spot it should not be moved. good luck in saving that one. Jackie
