The dining room just cried out for a change.
What to do? I know what,
lace panels! Here's the before picture:
And the during picture.
I was underwhelmed.
O, Mother, said Bandwith, when will this end?
When you're messing with curtains, you just know these things. Like, it's time to stop when the curtains hang right.
Or if the color works or if the ribbon doesn't show too much.
Then you stop.
Which is totally different from
Knowing when to quit.
I don't know doodly squat about that.
So even if I stop, I might not quit.
For now, anyway.
As Mama says, they're easy to change.

(I found an easy way to insert a signature of sorts into a blog post. Not the real thing, but still).

Hi Michael Lee! I love lace panels...so very frenchy! I have been following Mister's recovery and I am very relieved to hear that he is improving! My staff sends a hug...in as much as cats can hug a dog! lol I hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day! Is Fall finally coming?...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteYou have crafted a beautiful home with care and thought. The curtains look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL!! But from one who adores lace and has it in every single room except the great room/family room and the bathrooms, I, of course love it. I guess I love the light that comes through them..or..perhaps it is just that it is a reminder of the past and home. They are beautiful Gollum and make a nice change!
ReplyDeleteMichael--I have to say I identify with you--Susan is over there waiting patiently to get her living room just right ( and I know it will be), but I am the one who runs in full tilt! Sometimes the results are good; sometimes not so good--but seldom boring! Keep at it! Hope EVERYONE at your house is healthy and happy this Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Michael!

Its So Very Cheri
New sheers look wonderful in your dining room. The drapes are so lovely! I finally went and got some tie back hooks to hang mine on I got tired of putting them up and down with fabric. lol Now I know you love looking outdoors as I do. Hubby has the sheep in a different pasture and I barley get to see them. I took off on a mini bike yesterday and rode around the farm and watched them laying under the shade.

ReplyDeleteI think the lace curtains under the gorgeous draperies look exquisite pulled back a bit for a peak of the outdoors. What I enjoy even more is the glimpse of your very funny personality you infuse into your blog entries. I hope your book is finished soon so we can enjoy your offerings more often. Hope everyone is well and mended now. Jan (jjlmnaz)
ReplyDeleteI love your ceiling medalion - would love to have a closer look.
