Welcome to another Foodie Friday. This week, Bandwith cooked Prime Rib.I'll let him take over and explain how he cooked it.
Bandwith's Prime Rib
Pat outside of meat with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Brush meat with olive oil. Generously salt & pepper, adding chili powder.
Let meat come to room temperature. Grill meat for 15 minutes on each side, indirect heat.
Place in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until core temperature reaches 130 degrees.
Remove from oven. Let meat "rest" ten minutes. Carve.
Enjoy!
If you are participating in Foodie Friday, you know the routine with Mr. Linky:

ReplyDeletePrime rib is such a wonderful treat! I love how it smells when cooking. Hope you enjoyed your lovely dinner:)
ReplyDeleteWe love prime rib and eat it often. We usually cook a big one so we have leftovers for prime rib hash on a Sunday morning. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteAlso I like mine done a little more than my husband does so a bigger one helps us both get a piece cooked to our liking.
Makes my mouth water.
That bit of char-broiling around the edges in the 1st picture is divine.

I have been wanting to grill for weeks but it's been raining in Dallas. Feels like Seattle here.
ReplyDeleteI smile every time I see your precious Mister in his costume. I don't know if I told you this before or not, but I dressed my dogs up in cute Christmas sweaters once and they chewed them up. Expensive lesson learned.
Thanks for hosting!
I can almost smell it. For years we did this for our Christmas dinner and the house smelled wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your blog and I love everything I'm seeing. I love to cook and by next Friday, I may join you. For now, I'm just going to click the follow button.
