I can't say enough nice things about pewter. It's durable, that's for sure, as most of these pieces are from the 70s. It can be anything you want it to be: elegant, rustic, playful, traditional.

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. You'll have fun looking at ideas from across blogland.

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, with the candles and all. Love that you have your own special drinking vessel :-)

What a unique tablescape. I love the pewter. How do you prevent the heat from the candles from scorching your beautiful table? Doesn't the pewter conduct heat?

I love the design on the plate. It reminds me of a place setting at a lovely old Inn in the NE when you go up to ski. It may snow here in Atlanta today about an inch but not enough to ski down the highways:)
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Just like a trip to Merry Old England, and it didn't even cost airfare! Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI have adored pewter for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's from my upbringing near Yorktown and Williamsburg, Va. I have some pieces, but no dinner plates. Very much enjoyed your pictures.
