Longing for Spring: A Tablescape

I'm in the midst of a major cleaning blitz, but I wouldn't miss Tablescape Thursday for anything. It all started on Metamorphosis Monday when I began organizing a dish closet in the basement. The project expanded into a craft space for blogging. You can see how the dining room looked Sunday evening
HERE.

I'm still hunting and gathering dishes, but when I spotted four leaf platters, a longing-for-springtime theme was born, but with bugs & frogs.

Tablescaping Notes
Leaf platters -- Big Lots
Napkins -- April Cornell
Flatware -- Gorham "Hotel" stainless
Old crystal
Frogs-- gifts from my family (Mother's Day)

To view 100s of beautiful tablescapes, visit Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

If we all decorate for spring will it come any sooner? I sure hope so.
You two chairs look like they have little dresses on. Cute.

Hi Michael, just look at how perfect your tablescaping area looks already. Love it and I love the green. I did a flower post today for all of those that still have snow on the ground. I am taking out my Spring decor this weekend, Yippee!! Kathysue

I'm trying to catch up...so comments on 2 posts here. First, I love your tablescape, the frogs are darling. In your new space you can even change the pictures to go with the tablescape...how cool is that?

As for the basement...I rarely go down to ours. My husband lives there (well not really, but he loves it). Ours is entirely underground. We have 2 small windows that let in very little light. It is finished, has bedrooms and a wet bar. The furniture isn't bad and the main room is large, yet I still feel confined down there.

Oh what fun...the frogs are fun and funny and soooo green. Perfect for the upcoming holiday. I'm still shopping the house for St. Pat's Day stuff. This is my first year at it, so I don't have a lot of green {yet}.

Thanks for sharing your tablescape and resources.

Your first tablescape in your new blogging space is wonderful. Wah, I just went to Big Lots a couple of days ago and didn't see those cute platters. I, too, am ready for spring!

It is not spring here, Michael. It is snowing again. So this is such a welcomed table. I really think your table and chairs (and the area) are fabulous to use for tablescapes. I'm now researching white slipcovers for my chairs in my dinning room. Love the girly ruffled chair pads.
Back to the table- that little frog with the flower in it's mouth is just as cute as can be!
Thanks for bringing a little spring to my winter wonderland.

BTW I am enjoying your daily blogs so much. I don't know where you get the energy and time to consistently produce such quality work. Thanks, it is very inspiring.
