Dairy Queen Cuisine

I haven't been posting much lately because I'm writing. Mostly, though, I'm eating stuff like this.

And my mother wonders why all of us have gained a bit of weight.

I just love Dairy Queen cuisine, even though it's a heart attack in a box.

But that didn't stop us from consuming every last crumb.

Be sure to check out the new Le Creuset give-way over at Facebook. (See the sidebar.)You can enter the contest here, too, by using the word "cherry" in your comment. (The skillet is red).Deadline: August 1st.

To participate in this week's recipe exchange, add your information below:

Dang girl, you can even make fast food look mouth-watering! I have some brownies in the kitchen, want me to send some over? I know you love chocolate, especially when your writing!

Hope your son is still doing good, checked on FB, but the only update I saw was that he was doing better and I hope that is still the case.

Hugs

Only you could take such beautiful photographs of DQ cuisine, lol!! We are writing and recording and not posting much either, but I always enjoy whatever you post:-) All the best!

Yeah, heart attack in a box, but your amazing photography makes it look all the more yummy! It's a good thing there isn't a Dairy Queen here, or I'd be in trouble.

Thanks for hosting Foodie Friday.

First of all - Hope Bandwith & Trey are doing well. I also have a good dose of "fast food" myself on occasion. I think we all do sometimes, then we tighten our belt and behave for a while. :-D
Have a great weekend!

It's cherry season here! Thanks for entering me!

DQ is okay once in a while. What the H _ _ _, we need to indulge once in a while or life would be boring IMO.

I hope you don't have gallbladder probs, ML, cause that stuff will give you an attack, after the heart attack of course. :)

At least you have a really good excuse! I haven't been cooking 'cause it's just too hot!
I got my skillet and I can't even express how fantastic it is!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

I haven't had Dairy Queen in a while. I usually get their chicken snack and either a milkshake or an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. But I have say, those chili dogs look really good!

Suzy said...

Love Dairy Queen and a chili dog is tops on my list! Blizzard to follow. Or maybe a dip cone if I'm feeling stuffed... In the town where I grew up (Alexandria, La) we had an older Dairy Queen that had a little "dairy queen" with yellow pigtails on the roof. I belief due to a fire the renovated and the poor little maid was no longer.

I love this food too! lol Oh, the tater tots, and chili dog! I could go for one now! lol

With three kids all actively involved in school I completely understand the periods of fast food.... We hit Sonic up quite a bit because the hubs loves a chili, cheese coney and a cherry coke; cherries on the side. Go figure. Thanks for hosting foodie friday!

I love a foot long Coney Dog with chili, mustard, and onions! I haven't had one in soooo long! Thanks for reminding me. Also, sorry about the "recycled flower pots" name on my link today...It should say "How to Make Perfect Pickles"...I am having a technically challenging day today!

Your pictures of DQ food are so great it makes it look gourmet! I would love to win that skillet! That would be the cherry on top for sure!! What a generous giveaway.

Well, it sure photographs well! LOL!

I had the BESTEST frozen ice cream/brownie/cheesecake from Dairy Queen the other night at a Bible Study meeting. Oh my, it was worth every calorie.

lol love the take out boxes interspersed with the nice decor ;-) ... a cherry or three in a nice bowl would look pretty on that table!

Ah, yes! DQ indulgence! I remember the days of CHERRY cokes, & vanilla cokes. We tried to fix them at home, but they never tasted quite as good.

We have to indulge the taste buds for creativity!! It helps us think better right??? You could also use a hot fudge sundae with a CHERRY on top!!

Janet Marie said...

Tater tots rock!! :)

Cathy said...

Oh dear, it's really bad but I love it. A Dairy Queen is close by (too convenient) and I sometimes crave their tots and popcorn shrimp. There - I said it. Butterscotch Dilly Bars - the best!

Dairy Queen should be paying you for this! Their ads never make the food look that good! That veen loks good to me--and I don't like most fast food, nor do I like chili!

Hi Michael~ We've been dining on quick and easy, too. These HOT summer days diminish my usual desire to spend time in the kitchen, that's for sure.

Have a splendid weekend my friend!

I say, bring on the Peanut Buster Parfait as an OCCASSIONAL "the devil made me do it culinary delicacy' isn't really all that bad for the arteries, waistline and ... soul. :)

Yes, we love our little DQ too.
If you go to the nursing home and see all the oler people past 90 makes you want to eat all the heart attack in the box because I don't want to go that way either. At least I would be fat and happy!
