Michael Lee,
ReplyDeleteSalmon on the grill just tastes decedent... even though it is diet friendly!
The salsa is one I want to try soon! I think I'll post this on next weeks menu!
I'll link back to your post.
I can't wait. This salsa would be fabulous on pork loin too! Yummy!
Hope the book is progressing with ease.

ReplyDeleteI've never tried GRILLED salmon but I sure would like to give it a try. The salsa looks absolutely delicious and would make a great "MIXER" with the salmon.

My family wouldn't be one bit "BLUE" if I served this one night.
I have no idea how long to grill a salmon steak...??
We are having salmon this weekend and I am so excited to make your salsa recipe. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLooks so yummy, and I LOVE salmon! I also love Ken's raspberry vinaigrette. I will have to try it!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try this with grilled shrimp, too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks and sounds FANTASTIC, Michael Lee. How lucky you are to have Bandy to cook for you when you are busy with your writing...he enjoys cooking, and he's obviously very good at it! Your strawberry salsa was the perfect accompaniment to the salmon - YUM!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Yum! That salmon looks delicious. You're lucky to have Bandwith cook for you. I sometimes have either my daughter who is a chef or my son who just cooks make dinner. It is such a treat!
ReplyDeleteYum on the strawberry salsa! It looks delicious!! THanks!

That salsa sounds really good! Thanks for hosting Foodie Friday!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time visiting your blog and my first time joining in on Friday Foodie. Really like what I see and have become a follower. I thought your readers might enjoy having the links to download some really attractive canning labels, for FREE! Thanks for hosting, I'll be back!
ReplyDeleteThe salsa looks and sounds wonderful (thanks for sharing the recipe), but I have to admit I will pass on the salmon. I have tried salmon different ways and just do not care for the taste. I have never cared for strong fish or strong cheese.
ReplyDeleteThis heat is unreal.
I have never had strawberry salsa with fish before-it sounds unbelievably good!
ReplyDeleteNow I am off to go read about the rooster...I am intrigued!
Best wishes and thanks so much for having me!
Natasha.
xo
I've got some salmon in the freezer that would love to meet that strawberry salsa!
ReplyDeleteThat is some amazing looking salsa and salmon! The images will haunt me until I can taste it for myself.
ReplyDeleteThat strawberry salsa sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love the Caribbean Blue items from Le Creuset. I have a Le Creuset casserole dish and a great whisk that I can't live without!

Hi Micheal! That strawberry salsa sure sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing your space with us on this friday. My recipe is a Mark Bittman one for arugula pesto which I played with in my own pasta dish that was quick and delicious! :) Alex@amoderatelife
ReplyDeleteWOW!! This looks delicious. Since I am not a fish eater (bad I know) I am going to try this with chicken. YUM!! The salsa looks incredible. I would love to eat this while looking over ther Carribean Blue ocean with a blue mixer in my hand!!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing, and I can hardly wait to try this salmon and yummy salsa. Thanks for having us, and happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour salmon with strawberry salsa looks so delicious! Thanks for hosting Foodie Friday. By the way, I've just started reading your book 'Consuming Passions - A Food-Obsessed Life' and I am so enjoying it. In fact, I'm having trouble putting it down!
ReplyDeleteSeems we both had fruit salsa and seafood on our minds today — always a winning combination!
ReplyDeleteYour salmon looks wonderful. I love fruit salsas with fish. Lots of other great recipes this week too. My submission is a ricotta almond dessert. Thanks for hosting, see you again next week!
ReplyDeleteYour salmon with salsa looks fabulous. Makes me want to check with my fish monger to see if he has any fresh salmon today. Thank you for hosting Foodie Friday. I don't join in every week but have really enjoyed seeing the recipes being shared.

The photography on your site is simply stunning - I can almost taste the dishes while reading the posts! The opportunity to win a Kitchenaid mixer is icing on the proverbial cake :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like to check out an on line yard sale, where you can buy and sell things. If you go to my blog, you can click on the CYBER HIGHWAY YARD SALE link, being run by Deborah of Fairfield House nj. I think it's a good idea and I'm going to try to list some things myself this week. I hope I can get to it, I'm just so busy with house guests until after Labor Day.
Hugs

I found your blog through Lady Katherine's blog. I must say that I have absolutely fallen in love with your blog. It is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLori

That strawberry salsa would be amazing served on some grilled fish on a Carribean Blue plate :)
ReplyDeleteMichael Lee,
ReplyDeleteHope you are productive with your latest book! Just wanted you to know that I am making this delicious sounding recipe tonight and your salmon is on my Menu Plan this week with a link back to this recipe.
Have a great week!
Yvonne
Bonjour Michael Lee,
ReplyDeleteThis salmon dish looks absolutely delicious, will definitely try it soon.
Have a good week,
Mimi
I made your strawberry salsa tonight, it was yummy - really jazzed up the grilled chicken I'd made and made for an elegant dinner, plus I've got leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAll I needed was a cocktail, but I was all out of mixer :D
I tried mixing some strawberry salsa with leftover plain couscous, and added leftover cold grilled chicken - yummy!
ReplyDeleteOops, I forgot to mention mixer and/or Carribean blue - so here you go. I'm still amazed by the stunning photos every time I visit your site.
ReplyDeleteMy friends and I are getting together over Labor Day weekend for a mixer.... well, more of a potluck dinner (LOL) and I plan on bringing this strawberry salsa recipe. I'm also thinking of maybe trying some variations, like peach, or mango... even pineapple which I've had before and loved! I think it'll make a colorful presentation, especially if I can find some Carribean blue bowls to serve them in :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Mam! I will take two servings, please. Salmon = my favorite fish dish!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
I made another batch of salsa today, this time I added a jalepeno from my garden - a little sweet, a little heat, it was even better than the last batch! I'm not even a fan of strawberries but I'm loving this. All I needed was a margarita (or 3) - I should pick up some mixer tomorrow.
ReplyDelete(that wasn't too obvious, was it?)
I'm loving this. With all the fresh seafood, including salmon, we have access to, it's practically a staple in our diet and this will be a nice addition to an evening meal.
ReplyDeletefinished the last of my 2nd batch of salsa today, will probably wait until our little soirée Labor Day weekend before making more.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to figure out other ways to work mixer and Carribean blue into my posts - maybe a haiku tomorrow. I'll work on it :)
I started a slow-roasted pork today, thinking about making a version of this salsa using pineapple and a little jalepeno, and serving it with soft corn tortillas for dinner tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Enya song Carribean Blue came up on my Pandora today - the first thing I thought of was this post. LOL If Cement Mixer comes up, I'm taking it as an omen!
My pork and fruit salsa came out yummy :) I was thinking about either pineapple or mango - I settled on pineapple because the mangoes didn't look great, plus I thought it would cut through the richness of the pork better than the mango would.
ReplyDeleteMy son went back to school with a full stomach, several pounds of roasted pork and a large container of pineapple salsa. I am left to clean up, and dream dreams of a Kitchenaid mixer and Carribean blue Le Creuset saute pans :)
Every time I come to visit my mixer (the power of positive thinking!!), I'm struck by the beauty of the Carribean blue glassware in your "Antique Glassware" photo/button. Just stunning.
ReplyDeleteI received a Target gift card in the mail today, so I was surfing their site admiring the Kitchenaid mixers..
ReplyDeletethey have cornflower blue, cobalt blue, blue willow, ice blue but no carribean blue :(
I saw a pretty carribean blue butter bell today, and thought how great it would be to make homemade butter in a Kitchenaid mixer and store it in my own butter bell :)
ReplyDeleteOh love love LOVE this! Yellow is secretly my favorite color ;) I just have a hard time incorporating it into my decor. You've done a BEAUTIFUL job of decorating a lovely picnic with yellow. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
~Sarah
only a few more days in your contests for the Kitchenaid mixer and the Carribean blue Le Creuset pans :)
ReplyDeleteI'm running out of clever quips that include the words mixer and Caribbean blue, so I'll just cross my fingers, say a quick little prayer, and drool over the pictures :)
ReplyDelete*crossing my fingers and toes* well, today is the day... if I win the Kitchenaid mixer, I will celebrate with some sort of tropical mixed drink that's Caribbean blue in color - maybe a Big Blue Sky :)
