Serves: 1 Lonely Dieter
1 can lite sliced peaches
Pour juice into a shallow plastic bowl. Freeze two hours or until firm. Using a fork, "rake" the mixture into a serving dish.
If you haven't eaten the sliced peaches, chop and add them to the liquid.

ReplyDeleteHi Gollum,
ReplyDeleteIt's been ages since I have blogged. Peach is my absolute favorite fruit to eat and smell!!!!! Uggghhh if only I had a can of peaches... my little chunky but would go freeze it right this instant! LOL
I was looking through my past posts... and I must say, I REALLY MISS your writing exercises. They were brilliant and fun! I tried them out of a book, and they just weren't the same. :(
Hope to see a PROMPT soon.. (hint hint)

ReplyDeleteYour peach ice looks like something everyone at my house would love. Thanks for hosting your great parties each week. I find lots of fabulous ideas here!
ReplyDeleteWhat a refreshing (and frugal) idea. It always seems wasteful to me when we eat canned fruit to throw the juice away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the carnival.
I've made something similar to this with mandarin oranges and we all loved it, so why has it been so long since I've made it again. The peach looks really good! Thanks for hosting another fantastic Foodie Friday!
ReplyDeleteWow, peach ice looks nice! Love the first photo. :-)
ReplyDeleteI linked up a post on our recent honey harvest. We have one beehive and got 4 gallons of raw, delicious, healthy honey!

Hi Micheal! Thanks for sharing the foodie love for us on this friday! My recipe is a slow and long cooked bolognese sauce ala mark bittman and it is delicious! :) Alex@amoderatelife
ReplyDeletePerfect for a hot summer's day. Thanks for sharing the recipe...and the idea! I'm betting that other fruit juices/canned fruits will be interesting alternatives. I'm thinking pineapple...yum!

Great for my humid climate here in Singapore! Looks refreshing goood!
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds really good and certainly easy I bought peaches at the orchard yesterday and think I may try a peach sorbet this week. I need to avoid the cream style frozen goodies for a while!
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great I'm going to try it for sure! I have a peach one where you put 1 or 2 peaches in a blender add one container of frozen pink lemonade concentrate and as much ice as your blender can handle! Put it is freezer and enjoy!!! Have a great week!!!:)
