Put on your party shoes, because Foodie Friday will be hosting four not-so-Teeny Celebrations during April. The first event, Friday, April 8, 2011, will be a pre-pub party, with a Mother's Day gift basket giveaway.
Also, on this coming Friday, I have an extra-special goodie for everyone—a free gift for all of you. I’m so excited, it will be hard to keep quiet about this for a whole week. But I will try. On the April 15th Foodie Friday, a copper pan give-away! On the April 22 and 29th Foodie Fridays, I’ll be having a Teeny Post Book Tour Party. Just for fun, I am looking for about twenty volunteers who will, for the April 22 and 29th Foodie Fridays, bake and photograph a few recipes that are mentioned in Gone With a Handsomer Man. If you are interested, here are Teeny’s best-loved foods (you can use your own recipe, a similar recipe, or I can send you Teeny’s): Fried green tomato salad w/ cornbread croutons.
Just leave a comment if you’re interested. Each Foodie Friday, I’ll be having a drawing for 10 copies of the book and 10 audio books. For the recipe events, participants’ names will be drawn Wednesday, April 27, 2011 and Wednesday May 4th at Random.org.And speaking of random...various bloggers will receive a free copy of either a hardback or an audio CD.
We'll have a peach of a time in April.

Golly Neds, this sounds like FUN! I've never participated in such an event. I would LOVE to try making some of the recipes from your newest book, ML. Sign me up for the Vanilla Peach Coffee Cake, please? Maybe I can convince my FL Book Club to do your book then, too & have THEM serve something similar. What a hoot! You make it all great FUN.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Rett
I haven't been trying to photograph food here during the winter...just too grey & dismal but once the sun returns, I'll be back to playing with my food. :D :D
I'd love to participate in your festivities and am very willing to make one of the recipes. I'm thinking that the fried green tomato salad sounds interesting...or the espresso steak rub. But you might need to send me recipes... Can't wait for the book to come out.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for your upcoming tours...Wish you could get down here to FL...
Jane (Artfully graced)
Sounds like April is going to be very busy month!
ReplyDeleteI just sent you an email about both!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. Do you need to know in advance which recipe we're doing? Also, does it matter which Friday we choose? It's such a crazy busy time with Spring break and Easter. I just want to know what to expect so I can plan ahead.
ReplyDeleteHow about a book signing in the North East, more specifically Long Island. There's a great bookstore in Huntington, NY that frequently has book signings.

ReplyDeleteCOME TO ST. LOUIS!!
Thought I left a comment about this, but I don't see it, so here goes again. If there's room, I'd love to bake some of Teeny's recipes. Let me know.
ReplyDeletePatricia
If more than one person can make one of the recipes, I'd love to do (or have The Chef do) the vanilla peach coffee cake. I've been wanting to make a coffee cake for some time, so this is a great time to do it, like I said, if more than one person can do that one as I see some others have already expressed interest in that one! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to take part! I live in England so can't take part in the giveaways, but I would really enjoy being a part of your celebrations and would be happy to promote them (and your new book) on my site. I would be happy to make any of the recipes, although I don't think I can get the ingredients for the green tomato recipe here right now, but other than that, I'll try anything! Hope I can join in - please send me Teeny's recipes if you would like me to :) Email is april@21stcenturyhousewife.com
