I hope you enjoy my fantasy country picnic. The photos are not mine (see my note at the end of the post).
I hope to have a real picnic when I move to the real Rattlebridge Farm and/or finish two more books.

This Foodie Friday, we're going on a country picnic.
A long road leads to the farm.
I've got the picnic basket ready--hope you don't mind if a few country ants join us.
Let's unpack the picnic gear and eat.
The menu includes sandwiches, each one tied with string, and apples.
Have a slice of watermelon.
And a glass of limeade.
I bought the strawberry cake at a church bake sale.
The baby donkeys will stop by for a visit.
"Don't give him my cookie!" Mister yells.
Bertie the goat will collect the leftovers.
The geese are waiting patiently for the watermelon rinds.
Here comes Eula the Ewe.
As the smell of fresh hay wafts through the valley...
the humans take a nap.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This human writer is running down the final stretch for A Teeny Bit of Trouble, the sequel to GWAHM, so this picnic is only in my mind's eye, as are the calories. With the deadline looming, all photos were hand-picked for this post at Dreamstime, Shutterstock, and Fotolia. These aren't free services, nor are these photos mine. I purchased a license to use them for this post..please do not Pin--thanks!

Love the picnic! The Inlinkz is not working?????
Idyllic, bucolic, perfect! I'd love to be at that picnic. I don't even see any ants :)
My idea of a picnic! xo,
Our house was hit by lightning again yesterday, and I was afraid we'd lose our internet connection and tried to schedule the FF post. I think the Inlinkz is working now--I didn't synch the linkie with the post. Inlinks seems to be working now.
Now, THAT's a picnic! Never saw sandwiches tied with string, but makes sense for "a movable feast" like this one! (Plus, it's very country chic!)
Life is good.....Inlinkz working fine:)
Wow, I would love to come on this picnic - it looks idyllic! What beautiful photographs! Also wanted to say how much I am enjoying Teeny's Blog - it's wonderful! Thank you for hosting, and have a lovely weekend.
What a lovely picnic. I would totally enjoy attending! Sorry for the spelling errors on my post. I tried to change the name and ended up with errors that I couldn't fix!
A picnic and a nap sound ideal to me! Have a great weekend, Michael!

All of your photos are wonderful but I particularly liked the photo of the tree lined road with the fog. On my post today I mentioned that you have a new book out and I have the book in my cart on Amazon. Looking forward to reading it.

Hi - I may not have linked in a post that meets the Foodie Friday requirements this week - after I linked in and went back to check out some of the other links I realized it was only specific recipes. Your picnic photos are so bright and cheerful - I love the animals and the sequence of your story. Looking forward to lots of picnic weather this summer here at Frog Hollow Farm. Ciao, bella xxoo

I'll bring cheese and wine.
Teeny's beach give away will come in handy for our family vacation in hilton head this year; I'm sure my girls will want to read the book first!
It is 'finally' sandal and picnic season here too in Canada which is long over due!
Love all the critters who attended your picnic, speaking of which seeing the donkeys how is adorable Homer doing these days? I'm guessing he must be at least all of three years old by now and quite the young handsome 'jack'.
