Foodie Friday

Welcome to the August 19th Foodie Friday.
What's your favorite way to make lemonade?
I still haven't forgotten about the lemon purse and beach bag giveaways.

If you are contributing a recipe to this week's Foodie Friday, click on the blue Inlinkz "frog" (look below), and add your name/recipe/blog's name (your choice) and the permalink to your blog post. Follow Inlinkz's instructions to select your thumbnail image. If this is your first time to contribute to Foodie Friday, or if you aren't sure how to add a permalink, a short tutorial is available. Happy Recipe Hunting!

Mmmm, your lemonade looks refreshing and beautiful. I am sorry to say I don't make my own lemonade more often... I really do enjoy it. Paul Newman's is a pretty good substitute:)

I cheat, I use crystal light. I like the strawberry, lemon, banana flavor. So good. I am excited to see what others do. Thanks for hosting. Richard from, My Old Historic House.

Hi! I posted a wrong permalink on my first entry then trying to delete it but i somehow can't find the (X) on the right side of the thumbnail. Sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, your lemonade looks soooo refreshing! A must have during summer!

hm....refreshing lemonade! I can really drink the whole jug now with the weather in LA! LOL Thanks for hosting another Foodie Friday. I'm sharing my Chocolate Crepe Layer Cake this week.

Talking about giveaways. I'm really thankful for the gift (egg cups) I received from you. I even have the perfect recipe for it. However, I couldn't seem to find a "properly working" egg topper to take the top part of the egg shell off. I tried 2 different brands and designs of egg toppers but they both just don't work. sigh....I'm still in search for my kitchen equipment so I make make the dish and show case the egg cups on my blog as I promised. Just want to let you know I haven't forget. :) It just took longer than I expected. Anyway, take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for hosting another Foodie Friday! My favorite lemonade recipe is: 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from approximately 4-6 lemons depending on size)
4-5 cups water, depending on how tart you like it
1 cup granulated sugar

Serve over ice.

That lemonade looks so cool and refreshing! So hot here in Texas that all I want is something cold. I hate to admit it but I rarely make my own. I found a pretty good substitute at World Market and another at Marke Street.

Thanks for hosting!

Your lemonade looks so refreshing! I wish I could hop right over for a tall glass!
I must admit to being lazy - crystal lite is the brand I use!

I don't make lemonade myself either. If I lived somewhere where they grew I'm sure I would. I see someone else mentioned Paul Newman's, it is good.

I don't think I've made lemonade with REAL lemons. I'm part way through Consuming Passions and LOVING it, hopefully they'll be a recipe in there for it!

I plan to make a few recipes and do a review on the book on my blog. I LOVE the recipes, they are great!

Hi Michael,
I just love to pile up the lemons and squeeze away until all that tangy juice is floating in the pitcher. Add a nice sugar syrup some lemon slices and ice cubes to chill. Don't forget the sprig of mint. Pour a glass and go to the coolest spot on the porch and rock away. Thanks for hosting and have a great week end! I am heading for the porch.

My favorite lemonade is Blueberry Lemonade, made from fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and frozen wild Maine blueberries. It's amazing - I blogged about it about 2 years ago (horrible pics), but it tastes soooo good!

My mouth is watering looking at those gorgeous lemonade pictures! It's so strange, proper lemonade here in England is hard to find. 7-Up and Sprite are referred to as 'lemonade' here - something I still can't understand even after 20+ years here! Slowly, slowly some of the cooking and food magazines are publishing recipes for 'lemonade with lemons' :) I must make some proper homemade lemonade again...I miss it! Thank you for hosting!

Your lemonade looks so good and refreshing. I admit - I cheat and use the packaged or bottle stuff myself now days. Use to make it from scratch.
Enjoy your evening.

Thanks for having me today. Happy weekend!

Best wishes,

Hi ML!
I'm bad, in that I just open a packet of Crystal Light lemonade & add H2O!! I have found that a squeeze of fresh lemon or even just a bit of lemon peel really adds to the flavor.

Thanks for hosting FF again this week. I hope its okay for me to put two entries. If not, please go ahead & delete one for me?

fondly,
Rett

I love limeade! Lime juice, simple syrup and spring water with a spring of mint.

Thank you for the photo tips, I will have to try them, very helpful.

Your lemonade looks delicious and makes me wonder why I don't make my own. My husband loves Arnold Palmer tea with lemonade. His glass never looked as pretty as yours. Maybe I should fancy it up a little for him as a surprise.

Why don't I make more lemonade??? My veg bin is always crowded with a bag of lemons since I use them for just about everything. Your picture inspires me to make a pitcher for the last weeks of summer!

Nice photos Michael! I just make a standard lemonade, pour it into a tall glass with plenty of ice, then drizzle in a couple of teaspoons of Italian Raspberry syrup. Very refreshing!

Have a wonderful weekend my friend! xo
