  4. For Thanksgiving I'll take a piece of pecan pie, please! Or, peach pie which we also always have and is my favorite for breakfast the morning after! But, when I saw that, what I am assuming is butterscotch, pudding I thought we might need to add a new tradition in the mix! Yum!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

  11. We are going to have Thanksgiving dinner with friends. I'm bringing dessert. I'm taking a carrot cake that I baked in a turkey mold, an apple and a pumpkin pie, and a big bowl on white chocolate dipped fresh cranberries (always a big hit).
I hope you have a lovely day.

  16. I'm going to get heat for this one, but I've always considered pie the liver of desserts, and ever since my youngest son said he thought coconut tasted like bits of dried skin I've been off of that as well. So, my favorite dessert, again and again is...cookies. Yep, cookies!

  17. Michael.....I love all your photos. I could eat them right off the page. Good old fashioned pumpkin pie with whipped cream is an absolute Thanksgiving must. But of all those yummy photos you showed in the post, those Turkey cookies are just the cutest. My grandkids would go crazy for them. Also thank you for coming to my new blog and making a comment. It meant SO much to me that you would take the time and do it. I was touched. Wishing you and yours Thanksgiving blessings. Thankyou for posting Foodie Friday because you are blessing.

  20. Since I am not a pumpkin pie fan I would have to go with the carrot cake and being the southern girl that I am, a big, juicy, coconut cake is a must at Christmas.

    Blessings,
    Mary L

  27. I have the same problem here that I do on the holidays... can't decide! When I make a big thanksgiving I often do apple and pumpkin pies and everyone takes a little of each... they are all beautiful desserts... this year was just the 2 of us and I made a tarte tatin... love them!!

  28. Oh dear ML...what delicious choices you've given us! I'd love a very small sliver of pecan pie, please? I don't make it anymore since DH is diabetic, so it is a rare treat for me.

I hope you & your family had a delightfully fun filled Thanksgiving holiday & that your sweet little poochie is doing better. I must visit more often...I can't keep up with all your happenings!

    Hugs,
    Rett

p.s. Thank you for doing FF, week after week for us.
