I knew summer would pick up speed after July 4th (it always does for some reason), but I didn't expect it to move this fast. Can you believe it's almost August?
In barely eight weeks, we'll be thinking about the cuisine of fall.
But today, my thoughts are firmly centered on summer food.

The thing I most look forward to is a tomato sandwich on good ole white bread with mayo, S&P! Wish I had one of those pretty yellow cupcakes to go with my coffee right now though too:@)

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a tomato right off the vine so I agree with Sam and Lynn. It is hard to select just one thing...I also love the light pasta salads for dinner and homemade ice cream!

ReplyDeleteI am all about tomatoes in the summer! Nothing beats a garden fresh tomato on a salad or a sandwich, fried up crisp, or packed away for winters savory stews!

ReplyDeleteI've linked my Farmstead waffles this week. They'd make a good breakfast at any time of the year but imagine them topped with summer fruit and a little whipped cream. Yum!
