The sconces have been placed (temporarily) on the wall,
just to see if they are keepers.
What do you think?
Just a note to say that I am so grateful for all of the wonderful ideas you all are leaving on the renovation posts. You have inspired me!

I love them and hope you keep them!!
ReplyDeleteLove them! Definitely KEEP! Think they (sconces, mirror ) look great with your vanity-
ReplyDeleteThe sconces look nice, the height is great and they compliment the vanity nicely. I would repeat the same thing over the other vanity. Once you accessorize it will look great.

Love them. I think this is wonderful. Kind of a rustic elegance in my opinion
ReplyDeleteKeep! They are wonderful. rustic elegance
ReplyDeletethey're perfect! I say do your bathroom exactly like your inspiration photo...to a tee!! Just do eet!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them! They are perfect. The height is right on! Did you have them raised some? I agree that I would mimic the same look over the other vanity as best you can. The mirror and sconces are awesome in your space. Are you feeling better about this room yet?
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful! i'd keep them for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey look very good there. Side light is very important in the bathroom when you are putting on your makeup. Eyeball height is very good, but a little higher will be OK, too.
ReplyDeleteKeep them! And one mirror is enough. I love your vanity & think once you get the right paint color, you will be happy with it all. It's coming together!
ReplyDeleteI love them . They look wonderful. I would keep them for sure. Can't wait to see every thing finished. Yarlette
ReplyDeleteThey look great!

ReplyDeleteThese look great. When you showed the sconces without the shades I thought they might be too small but with the shades on they fill in the sides of the mirror perfectly. I think the mirror is just right too. Good luck with the rest of the renovation.
ReplyDeleteWhile these sconces are beautiful I think they are better suited to hang on either side of a buffet or entry hall table. There is too much negative (blank) space between the top of your gorgeous vanity and the bottom of the shade. Also, the off-white shade doesn't fit the bright-white of the sink bowl. These sconces feel off-balance and make the area look less symetrical than it should. Also, while I LOVE the mirror, I think you will miss having a wider mirror over the vanity. You should be able to stand at either side of the sink and still be able to see into the mirror - a larger mirror will also create the illusion of a bigger space. You know how I love everything you do, but these sconces tell me they are meant for another spot in your beautiful home! xo
ReplyDeleteRestoration Hardware features these sconces flanking the mirror, above a vanity in a bathroom setting....
DeleteWOWZERS!!! They are GORGEOUS! You're getting there, ML...so much fun to watch from a distance & share it with you.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely keep them! These are gorgeous. It's fun to watch this process.
ReplyDeleteThanks for including us.
Love them, and the mirror too-I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Just paint out the vanity. It is so beautiful I love the sconces and mirror. You are getting there.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! It does seem that the vanity needs to color match the mirror, though. That would be less expensive than buying the RH vanity! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh - they are just beautiful ! I would definitely keep them - they have already changed the look of the room - especially along with the mirror - just looks amazing !
ReplyDeleteGreat job, those are just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think the mirror is too small.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Everything works wonderfully together...your vanity top has shades of cream to dark brown which ties in with your new wall sconces and mirror. Your vanity top looks amazing with your current vanity which looks wonderful with your flooring...so from the ground up it is all working beautifully together!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Beautiful! I really like the floors too.
ReplyDeleteThe room is coming right along, the mirror and sconces are perfect, striking and does make a statement, exactly what you would want from that area, love the look...
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! I love the sconces :)
ReplyDeleteI love them, they are so YOU!!! I can imagine you decorating the sink area, the whole room is going to be beautiful. I love all you do. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteStunning! Love them so much.

Ouuu! Yes! I really do like the new sconces and the mirror. Isn't it amazing how much of a change they have made to your room. I do hope you'll keep them. I even think they compliment your vanity beautifully too. It's been very fun to watch you go through this process. Thanks again so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteComing in a little late on the comments, but I have to agree with Captain''s Daughter, they overpower the mirror and the mirror could be wider as she states to balance the vanity area.
ReplyDeleteMichael!!! I love, love, LOVE it! It is FABULOUS. A KEEPER. PERFECT. It is such a great look!
ReplyDeleteI disagree with the poster above. I think those sconces are a great compliment to the mirror and make a statement. I like the way you incorporated the shapes in the vanity with the rectangular mirror and then the shades speak to the shape of the vanity bowl. It's a smart, sophisticated look, and I think you need to echo this on the opposite wall. This is just turning out so well, and I think you are going to love it. I sure do. I want you to come to my house and help me next!
I'm so excited for you, Michael. I've been MIA, but I decided to drop by tonight to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! And boy, am I glad I did! I'm as excited about the way this is turning out as you are. LOL And I'm so happy for you that you are getting the look you love. I think all the paint colors work, too. I'm going back to see what you did. Can't wait!
Love to you and yours...
XO,
Sheila
Michael... what did you finally do with paint??? That color is GORGEOUS. I love it. I'm sooooooo happy for you. This is a dream bath!
