Foodie Friday--March 22

 Welcome to Foodie Friday.
Spring is almost here. The world is turning green.
And pink and yellow.

And purple!

I'm looking forward to your spring and Easter
recipes and ideas. Here are a few
of Rattlebridge's favorites. I hope they'll inspire.

I found these darling egg boxes at Big Lots (a few
years ago). The organdy napkin sheaths add
a whispery touch to a napkin.

An egg wreath works as a charger.
Polka-dotted dish towels make darling napkins.

You can make adorable edibles
with leftover puff pastry dough.

Biscuits work, too.

Another dish charger idea: grapevine wreaths.

Last year, I used eggs as wee vases. (Remove the top, pour the yolk into a bowl, rinse
the egg, add water and a little flower.)

Bunnies and tulips make a welcoming table.

If you're here for Foodie Friday's linky party, just add your recipe, locate the blue Inlinkz frog (below, left); add your permalink and select an image. It may take a few seconds for the entry to process. The red "X" will allow you to delete your entry if you made an error. The Foodie Friday badge is located on the right-hand sidebar if you wish to add it to your FF post. If this is your first time to participate in Foodie Friday, a tutorial is available.

"Pinners" please go to the source blog to pin and credit the bloggers/photographers for their work.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great, food-filled week.

  2. Michael Lee, you have definitely provided some gorgeous inspiration. Each image offers springtime delights. I'm envious of those darling egg boxes. What perfect favors those would make for a dinner party. Thanks for sharing all your creative ideas. I"m just getting some Easter things out of storage and around the house. Just a tad behind this year. If you know of a source for those cute faux chocolate bunnies that the daffodils are planted in, I'd love to find some for my table. Thanks! ~ Sarah

    1. The merchandise always changes (I'm still hoping they'll get more burlap ribbon), but that's part of the charm. The dishes are ALWAYS wonderful, and wonderfully priced. Have you joined their online club? You can get more discounts.

  33. Do you really have iris blooming? We usually don't have cold this long. Last year at this time many around here were planting gardens. I only live 4 hours north of you and it has been low of 18 and a high of 32 most of this week. Today it got to 40! When the heat finally comes everything will bloom all at once. LOL The only thing we have blooming is crocus and a few daffodils. Thanks for hosting!

    1. No, the irises aren't blooming yet. This is a photo from last March. They bloomed around the 24th. So far, we only have buds. I hope they'll make it through this cold snap. It's so chilly tonight, I wore a wool cape to walk the dogs.

  34. Thanks for hosting...and reminding me that spring really is just around the corner (even though we are about to get hit with a massive snow storm where I am). ;)
