Lemon Thyme Seasoned Salt

After non-stop storms, I'm craving sunlight.

While rain lashed against the house, I made lemon-thyme seasoned salt.
Now, the whole house smells like sunshine.

This lemony seasoning is an aromatic time-saver.
It contains everything you need in one jar,
pairing beautifully with fish, chicken, and salads.

You can even add it to biscuit and cornbread batter.

  1. oh i am WILD OVER THIS! we are having a rainy day, not normal for a ca summer, and to make it even more frightening it was a hellacious electrical storm, and it came from inland and went out to sea, so DARN SCARY! for 4 hours my little cottage was a blaze all night long... so to see this, after gray and scary, is a breath of sunshiney heaven.

even if the sky was a vivid blue like 9 months of the year your pics are prize winning though. very beautiful... i have been playing with lavender pics all day, the brilliant yellow is jarring to my lavender brain, in a VERY GOOD WAY! gorgeous collection of pics~

to sun it up in one word...

    perfection~

  2. I immediately thought this would be amazing with chicken Michael! Funny, I just made cilantro salt myself, it's a great way to preserve things:@)

  3. I make herbal salts but none as complicated as this -- I may have to try this, however, for it seems to be a good salt to have on hand!

  8. You have my attention. I have made cured lemons, but never seasoned salt. I'm going out to check my thyme.

  14. With all my lemon goodies, you have me experimenting. I tried adding some lemon salt flakes to my lemon yogurt this morning. Not what I expected. Perhaps I put in too much. Will tweak it and try again tomorrow. Sure looked pretty though! '-)
We have thyme growing in our garden so will try this recipe. Thanks ~ Sarah
