Foodie Friday -- January 31

Welcome to Foodie Friday.
If you're here for Foodie Friday, or a link to the Novel Baker's Homemade Winter,
look below to find the links.

My little diabetic Yorkie, Zap, is in the vet hospital with
kidney issues. The illness came on suddenly this week, and the prognosis isn't the best. I'm too upset to write much more, but I would appreciate it if you'd say a little prayer for Zap.

I wasn't able to participate today with the Novel Bakers,
but the girls have been busy whipping up extraordinary
dishes and beverages.
For delicious wintry recipes and cheer, visit the Novel Bakers:

If you are contributing a recipe to this week's Foodie Friday, locate the blue Inlinkz icon in the lower, left-hand portion of this post. Click on the icon and follow the directions. After you complete the process, you will see a red "x" beside your name. This allows you to delete your link if you made an error; the red "x" is visible to you only.

Pretty please do not pin images from the FF thumbnails. Visit the source blogs. Thanks. For a complete, UPDATED guide to this linky party, click HERE.

I am giving little Zap a special little pat and sending my love, thoughts and prayers to him. I will also be keeping you in my prayers as you walk this journey with your precious little friend. I always remember our little Jaque and Andre who walked the same path. Hope the weekend goes well and thanks so much for the party!

  27. Poor little Zap...what a worry for you, ML!!! I hope they can turn things around with him. DH has the same exact issues...we just muddle on, one day at a time.
Try not to worry too much. Our Moms would say "the worst bridge you cross is the one you never come to"...worrying won't do a bit of good to change things. I know you've done your best to care for all your creatures, furry & otherwise, big & little both.

    Gentle Hugs,
    Rett

  28. I'm so sorry about your dog being ill, Micheal. I lost a beloved cat last year and I know the heartbreak of seeing a pet get sick and pass on. I hope with medication Zap will live longer--he looks like such a happy pup!

It has been awhile since I was able to post a recipe--feels good to join in again!

  35. I know your pain and I know nothing can allay it. I have found excellent advice on Dr. Becker's web pages. She's an integrative, holistic vet. I also treated my dogs with herbal supplements that I feel helped. If you want the companies, I'll e-mail the info to you. It seems some bloggers don't wish to have links appear in comments, so I'll leave that up to you. My prayers go out to your little Zap and his family.
