Casual Farmstyle for the Slob

It's no secret that the Girl is not a fashionista.

The Girl loves comfort: sweat pants, baggy shirts, Leggings, and flannel.

She has a major weakness for cute handbags, and she is not above hoarding them, like, for decades.

She's mighty fond of boots, too.

Roomy t-shirts and tartan shawls are high on the slob's Winter Is Coming, Dress for It list.

The Slob's Guide
Tretorn boots -- Amazon
Tartan shawl -- Signature Studio, Goodies
Black, stretchy jeans -- Steve Madden, Goodies
Snow Big Deal t-shirt -- Joe Boxer, Kmart
Handbag -- Isabella Fiore (purchased in the late 1990s)

  5. My kind of outfit ! The handbag is so cute.
After many years of working, having to wear "dress clothes", full coat of makeup, etc., 5 (sometimes 6) days a week, then when I retired, I retired the dress style also. Jeans, khakis or sweats, pullovers, walking shoes - works for me.

  6. You're so pretty it doesn't matter what you wear! I'm certainly not a fashionista either. When I see clothes on commercials or in magazines, my eyes just kind of glaze over. Love your pretty colorful header!

  7. I'm with you on your clothes. After dressing up for 50+ years I am enjoying relaxing. Love the purse with your Border Collies on it. I have Waldo a Border and he is loved and looks like your purse. You look terrific in your casual clothes.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

  20. You look adorable!!!....I love that shirt!...and I tend to hang on to handbags too!....I think I got you beat on the handbags...In high school, I saved my babysitting money for months to buy a John Romaine handbag...my dad thought I was crazy to spend all that money on a purse...I still have it to this day!....memories!

  21. I love this! Honesty for comfort for us! I was in Bowling Green earlier today and the lady in Talbots and I were talking about at our age...we want comfort! And we were discussing our collection/hording of cashmere sweaters over the years. If you buy one a year, be it a sweater or a purse, then you can eventually have a large stash. I am a purse horder too. I take care of it and keep for years. Thank you for opening up the necessity of comply clothes. All of the years we lived on our farm I dressed in jeans + a top. Tee, button up, sweater, etc. and now that I think about it I had some green Wellies. I hope they are in a moving box somewhere. Ha! Sheila
