Alfresco Tablescape Bloghop

On this sweet, summer afternoon, I decided to serve an early supper on the porch. I was inspired by a lively blue and green tablecloth, just the antidote for a hot August day.

I layered the dinnerware: Spode "Baking Days" plates with Portmeirion "Botanic Garden" bowls and antique leaf plates. The flatware is by Portmeirion, too. (I love anything that has a gardening motif.)
The napkins were layered, too, gathered with Kim Seybert rings.

This summer has been hectic, and it was a treat to slow down and play with shades of blue and green.

Thanks to Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate for putting together this amazing party--five days of the most gorgeous tablescapes I've ever seen, each one unique, beautiful, and inspiring. I hope you'll visit these talented bloggers. Prepare to be enchanted.

What a wonderful spot for dining alfreso...I could happily curl up on your bench or pull up a chair for a sip or a bite. :)

  10. This is simply divine! I've always loved blue and green together. You've reminded me of our childhood Christmas tree. It was blue and green, too which was popular in the 70's. (Just shared my age - oops!) You've done a fantastic job pulling the colors together and your centerpiece is exquisite! I have to ask what is the story of the puppy in the painting? It adds such a feeling of sweetness. Love everything! Kim @ CoziNest
