Two months ago, after an unexpected detour, I wondered if I'd ever get back into the kitchen. But time, rest, and an iron-rich diet helped me get back on my feet. Now, I'm doing a little gardening, grateful when sunshine presses against my arms. Bandwidth has been my right-hand man, driving me around town and doing all the heavy lifting. The other day, he brought me a Southern Lady magazine, and when I saw the dessert on the cover, I put it on my "to make" list.

Welcome to Foodie Friday and Everything Else, where great food and ideas are always on the menu. This week, I've begun to reclaim my flower beds from the weeds. They've just gone wild. In a way, they inspire me to persevere.

A few weekends ago, Bandwidth and I attended another dog show. I'd brought his camera (just in case he decided to try his hand at being a puparazzi, like his mum). He went in one direction; I went in another. At the end of the weekend, he had quite a collection of photos. Hope you enjoy them!
